Vaccine Schedule & Administration
- Childhood schedule: Two doses (1 year and 3 years 4 months in UK).
- Catch-up: Two doses at least one month apart for unvaccinated adults.
- Validity: Two doses provide lifelong immunity for most people.
Common side effects:
Mild fever, rash, or swollen glands 1-2 weeks after vaccination.
Who cannot have the vaccine?
- Pregnant women or those trying to conceive within 1 month.
- Severely immunocompromised individuals.
