Vaccine Schedule & Administration

  • Three-dose series: Given at 0, 1, and 6 months (accelerated schedules available).
  • Validity: Provides long-term immunity; booster doses are rarely needed.
  • Combination vaccine: Available as Hep A & B (Twinrix) for convenience.

Common side effects:

Mild soreness at the injection site, low-grade fever, or fatigue.

Who cannot have the vaccine?

  • Those with severe allergies to yeast or any vaccine components.
